The tones of this 3Gen set have been selected for painting the legendary Autumn/Winter uniforms used by Waffen-SS troops during WWII.
In the set you will find the basic colors, shadows and lights for base uniforms Oak Leaf, Palm Three and Plane Tree patterns, and its spots.
You can mix them to achieve diverse shades, as they could vary depending on their origin.

It is recommended not to avoid using any color during the process. The paints can be mixed with each other to get futher subtle tonal variation useful for larger areas or for larger models.

IDF Early Sand Yellow was typical for the late 1950s and 1960s, and was widely used until the Yom Kippur War in 1973 on tanks such as the AMX-13, Shermans, early M48 Pattons and the majority of the Centurions (Sho’t).
After the Yom Kippur War, it remained in use in the South and the Sinai Peninsula.
After the 1973 war, more IDF land forces were positioned in the Northern frontiers, and their vehicles received a darker tone, a Sand Grey, which was more suitable for blending with the greyish terrain color of the North of Israel.
IDF Modern Grey is the current IDF paint introduced in May 1981.

It contains the two RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb shades, including the darker ‘1944’ version introduced in September 1944, which were used for three-colour factory camouflage patterns introduced in August 1944 along with RAL 6003 Olivgrün and RAL 8017 Rotbraun.
Also included are the Washable White Paint, useful for reproducing the winter camouflage schemes applied to many vehicles during the winter of 1944-45, and RAL 8012 Rotbraun primer and interior color that probably also found some use as camouflage color.
